After Adam and Eve sinned and left the Garden of Eden, mankind
grew and populated the earth. The people built towns, raised animals,
and grew crops to feed their hungry families. But the people did not				inside this issue
follow Yahweh's ways and practiced violence everywhere. It hurt				Why Did Yahweh …?

		Yahweh found one man that
		was righteous. The man's
		name was Noah. So Yahweh	“Noah obeyed Yahweh and got to work building the ark.”
		decided to save Noah and
		his family. He explained that
		a great flood was coming.
		Yahweh gave Noah instruct-
		ions to build an ark that
		would keep them safe from
		the deep waters that would
		cover the earth. Noah obeyed
		Yahweh and got to work
		building the ark. After the ark
		was built, Noah brought the
		animals inside that Yahweh
told him to. When all the creatures were safely inside, Yahweh closed
the door and it began raining. For 40 days and 40 nights it did not
stop. Noah and his family lived for over one year in the ark. How happy
they must have been to finally walk on dry ground when Yahweh
caused the flood waters to recede! Yahweh promised never to destroy
the world by a flood ever again. Whenever we see a rainbow, we are
reminded of Yahweh's promise.
