Last December 2, 2011, I visited our brethren in Tangway, Maras, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte as per request of Bro. Rizaldo Lalag, YAIY local leader in that area. In spite of their poverty, they manage to put up a humble house of worship and they requested me to bless it and baptize those called by Yahweh. I left our place at 5 am and took a 6 hrs bus ride to Sindangan. Bro. Lalag met me at Sindangan bus terminal. Deacon Jenito Omandam was on hand to accompany me because he is residing near Sindangan. With him were his wife and young son.

We have to take a 30-min tricycle ride from Sindangan bus terminal going to Maras. When we arrived in Maras, I found out that there is no transportation going to Tangway because there is no access road. We have to walk for 1hr & 15 minutes climbing steep mountains which proved to be difficult and dangerous. We arrived Tangway 4 pm and rested on the meetinghouse. It was located on top of the mountain and I can view nearby towns and the ocean. What a nice view! We spent the night in a small nipa hut.

On the Sabbath day, the brethren, who are majority Subanons (a minority tribe), were very eager to listen to the message. There were 6 persons who were baptized and 5 children dedicated. The exhaustion and body pain that I felt in the journey dissipated looking at the joy of the brethren.
Baptized were: 1. Ronabel Magulta, 2. Anecita Malic, 3. Lustino Kinglon, 4. Feleriano Kinglon, 5. Marivic Kinglon and 6. Daisy Kinglon. Children dedicated: 1. Darel Kinglon, 2. Cyrel Bert Magulta, 3. Rhean Mae Magulta, 4. Aljeron Kinglon,   5. Reamie Lugamay

I gave them YAIY Calendar 2012 and tracts that I translated to Visayan dialect. They requested songbook and guitar for use in worship service. I am looking for ways to provide their request. I count it joy to be of service to the assembly. May Almighty Yahweh continue to bless the ministry that He entrusted to us.
