Q.  Was Yahshua Yahweh in the flesh? How can this be especially if Yahshua is sitting on the right hand of Yahweh. My tiny little brain cannot wrap itself around this belief. Thanks very much.

A.  Greetings in the Esteemed and Only Name of Yahweh.

It would be best to answer this question with a few background comments followed up with additional study material (provided at the web site links below).

While there are 2 separate beings that comprise the nature of Yahweh (Elohim), they are of one mind and united in purpose, goal, intention and desire (Jo 10:30). The relationship of Elohim (Yahweh), is that of Father and Son (1 Co 8:6 RSB). Both are united spiritually as one, the same as a man and a women are united in marriage and become one flesh (Gen 2:24).

Yahshua the Son does nothing on His own. He always solicits and submits to the Father's will (Jo 8:28-29). Yahshua clearly states that Yahweh, the Father, is greater than Himself (Jo 14:28). Nevertheless, since They are one in spirit and purpose, They are both really Yahweh. We also know that Yahshua the Son, and Yahweh the Father, have an identical appearance (Jo 12:45). It should be clear, however, that there is only one Elohim (Yahweh) and there is none else (Isa 45:5-8).

The creation account, in Genesis, reveals the oneness of the Father and the Son in action. The Hebrew word commonly translated as G-d is "Elohim" (a plural noun) and is used to describe Who made the heavens and Earth. Translated from the original Hebrew text, Elohim means "Mighty One(s)" and is referring directly to the Father and Son in a plural connotation. Please notice in Genesis 1:26, "And Elohim said, let us make man in our image". This is a clear example of two Mighty Ones operating in harmony and unison as co-creators of man. The Father operates as the master architect and planner while the Son is the actual creator or doer. Yahshua was the creator of the universe and all that we see in the physical domain (Jo 1:1-10).

To answer your question directly - yes, Yahshua (as a human) was Yahweh in the flesh. Yahshua is the Word and became flesh and dwelt among us (Jo 1:14). The surname of Yahweh is shared and included in Yahshua's name (Yah). Eventually, the entire family of heaven and earth will carry this name (Eph 3:14-15). Ephesians 4:4-6 gives additional insight into the oneness and singleness of purpose of Yahweh: "one El (supreme deity) and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all".

The following 2 links provide an in-depth study of this topic. I would recommend that you print these 2 studies from the YAIY web site and read the scriptures directly out of your Bible. This is wonderful study material that should further clarify your understanding of this most important truth:
