By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Yahweh, and keep His commandments…For whatsoever is born of Elohim overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Yahshua is the Son of Yahweh?

It’s hard to imagine that any spiritual beings, in the presence of Yahweh, having eternal life of peace and joy, would follow a rebellious Being. Yet, they did, and are now fallen angels, called demons. They ended up making a bad decision following Lucifer.

    And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him, Rev 12:7-9.

    Lucifer, which means light bringer, became Satan, which means adversary. The beauty and gifts that this powerful Cherubim had been given seemed to be more than he could handle, but we are all given free will to choose right from wrong, no matter who we are.

    In rebellious nature, he tried to overtake what was not his to take. This nature is evident in some people today, and, in fact, is seen as the very nature of the beast, “…he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.“ Rev 13:11. Satan, also called the Devil, which means accuser or slanderer, is, in essence the beast. This Being accuses the brethren “day and night” before Yahweh, Rev 10:12. He is the opposite of the brethren who bring praises before Yahweh’s throne “day and night,” Rev 7:15.

    The unseen adversary realizes that he doesn’t have much more time on earth, Rev 12:12.

    Yahweh originally created Lucifer (an anointed cherub, Ezek 28:14) with beauty and evidently with the ability to give praise in an orchestrated fashion. As a radio is able to broadcast, Satan also has the ability to influence people around the world, even possessing some of them or at least moving them to do his will.

    Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, Eph. 2:2. The demons, those fallen angels, also have similar abilities, though in differing degrees, Dan 10:13, 20.

   The whole world is deceived by Satan, but a few are escaping the deception and coming to a better understanding of why the world is in the mess it is. This Devil is wanting to thwart Yahweh’s plans, but Yahweh is in complete control. Satan and his demons are only able to go as far as Yahweh allows.

   Some may ask why Yahweh would even allow such wicked spirits to exist, but He has His

...the Elohim of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

            —Rom 16:20

reasons. One, no doubt, is to let mankind see that it cannot rule itself. Since Adam and Eve were lied to by the Devil, and they went ahead and decided that they knew better than Yahweh, the whole world has suffered. We are learning, obeying Yahweh gives life, whereas disobeying Him brings suffering and ultimately death.

   Death is ultimately what awaits those who won’t repent of their ways. Satan and the other wicked demons will be destroyed also. Yahweh was able to bring them into existence, and He is able to eliminate them from existing. The idea that they will suffer an eternal hellfire is only another way to say that their destruction will have eternal consequences. That is, they will die and no longer exist, Ezek 28:19; Jude 1:7.
   With that said, you can imagine how upset they are and what untiring lengths they will go to cause difficulties for others. Satan is their leader and like an army general, is leading them against humanity, to keep them in darkness and away from true light. Yahshua even addressed the religious leaders (2 Cor 11:13-15) of His day who were under Satan’s spell. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning,

and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it, John 8:44.

   People generally go after material things, they seek the pleasures of the world. Little do they know the vices, such as pornography, and violent movies, are just a few things he has influenced to be strong distractions for the masses. Satan wants people to be in bondage to sin, and is behind much of the things in the world that readily help people commit sin against Yahweh.

   Once we are aware of these things, we are promised that if we resist Satan he will flee from us. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Master, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of Yahweh, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Yahweh, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand, Eph 6:10-13.

    All that he has built up will no longer deceive us nor take us from our heavenly Father. The key is in Yahshua who has overcome the world. This allows us to come before the Father, NOT so we can continue in sin, but that we can be forgiven the death penalty of those sins (i.e., justification), and so we can strive to live a clean and sinless life. Satan has already lost, and Yahshua has won. Let us strive to win, and to follow in the footsteps of our Savior. Remember, it is those that are faithful and overcome to the end that will be saved, Rev 3:21-22. Don’t allow the unseen adversary to deceive you!

We are aware that one group in particular teaches that Satan is the queen of heaven, the fallen wife of Yahweh.  There is absolutely no proof in  Scripture that Yahweh was married to the queen of heaven.     

       It is agreed that the so-called “queen of heaven” is a reference to Satan, but so are all the other pagan deities, both male and female, as is the case with Baal, who was considered a male deity and widely worshipped by people in the ancient world.  Satan has been known by many names including Baal, Ishtar, Bel, Beelzebub, Tammuz, Krishna, and the list goes on and on.  

      We did some studying into the Greek and Hebrew. The Hebrew word for Satan is hashatan, #7931 in the Hebrew-English dictionary, which means simply “the adversary.”  It was NOT a proper noun and no gender was attached to it.  In the Greek there are a couple different words, including kategoros “#2691” which means “the accuser” and which the Greeks attached the masculine gender to.  So we did not find any reference to the feminine gender in either the Greek or Hebrew when Satan is referred to. 

June 18th was a late time for us to plant, but it goes to show that even with a late planting there can be a harvest. Here we are three months later eating the “fruit of our labors.” Since the Sabbatical starts October 10th this year, we will till the plants underground and leave the ground fallow until Atonement of 2009. Yahweh willing, we’ll plant early and have not just one crop, but two healthy ones instead.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
