For they exchanged the truth of Elohim

for a lie, and worshiped and served the

creature rather than
the Creator,

who is blessed

Can Science Re-enact Genesis?

SHOCKING NEWS: CRAIG VENTER CREATES LIFE IN THE LAB.

Indeed, Craig Venter's scientific breakthrough is a remarkable feat once thought to be impossible. And for sure, the stunning news has put the religious hierarchy and bioethicists in a bind - raving judiciously upheld that the creation of life is the exclusive domain and prerogative of the Almighty Creator, i.e., Yahweh Elohim.

It is common knowledge though, that biological science has for quite a long time dismissed the concept of a creator deity (Elohim) as mere fiction. And now here comes someone, a mortal being at that, who audaciously crossed a long held moral Rubicon and succeeded in creating (synthetic) life. Understandably, the elated and euphoric scientific community accorded a toast to their hero - geneticist Craig Venter.

We knew that right after the rise of biological science, great thinkers were intrigued by the greatest phenomena of all, i.e., life in varied forms and how it all began. We knew, too, that time and again scientists have tried and failed to create life in the lab. Exasperated, many have given up - as their efforts led to a dead end. But not Craig Venter. He gathered a team of PhDs, among them a Nobel laureate, and the project goes on at the J. Craig Venter Institute in suburban Maryland.

Eventually, Craig Venter's stubbornness and persistence paid-off. By replacing the natural genome in a cell with a slightly modified synthetic one, Venter's team achieved - short of a miracle - a scientific milestone, i.e., the cell reproduced. Thus came the birth of synthetic biology.

Now here are inevitable questions confronting us. Does that mean Venter's work belies the Genesis account of creation? Or, that every Tom, Dick, and Harry aspiring to be a biologist/geneticist is a potential creator? What implications does Venter's success have on religion and morality?

Craig Venter's scientific breakthrough will surely leapfrog synthetic biology to the forefront of scientific activity worldwide. Considering the audacity and arrogant posturing of the present crop of atheistic scientists, it props up their standpoint that anything is NOW possible with science - that eventually man can turn to science for everything he needs; and that SCIENCE IS SUPREME. In short, man can be self-sufficient and has no need of Elohim.

This is just the first step in the race to synthetic biology. In no time, we can expect a concerted and vibrant activity in laboratories worldwide, as scientists embark on a mad rush to create other forms of life.

The bonanza expected to benefit mankind is legion - suggesting a scenario of endless possibilities leading to the crafting of microorganisms with mind-boggling powers. For example, think of a customized tumor-seeking microbiological  missile that did nothing but seek and bust to smithereens cancer cells; bacteria that did nothing but eat gobs of crude oil and digest it into a harmless substance, by which oil spills, as had happened in the Gulf of Mexico, will no longer be a problem to the environment. Or, a big bioreactor containing bacteria that eats nothing but grass, leaves and twigs and spews out bio fuels. Wonderful things, indeed, is the promise of synthetic biology.

However, the risks are equally mind-boggling and terrifying. What if the bugs mutate and turn to eating, aside from grass and leaves, flesh? I shudder to think of bacterial Frankensteins lurking in the environment should a leak break out in a bioreactor. And since bacteria can be airborne, an accident of that sort is enough to terrorize the whole world. Of course, the question is hypothetical. Nonetheless, accidents in laboratories and reactors have happened.

Tinkering with and creating life in whatever form is trespassing into the forbidden sphere of exclusive rights and authority, i.e. , of Yahweh Elohim, and calls for careful oversight, caution and restraint. For now, Venter's work is camouflaged with good intentions, but overlooking or disregarding at what price we will pay for it. Now, here is the crux of the matter, as put forth by someone in a question. “Has Venter and his team re-enacted Genesis?”

My answer is a big “NO.” There is unmatched differences between Genesis and Venter's version of creation. In a sense, man is said to be a creator, as Henry Ford created the Model T car. Or, the first airplane as created by the Wright brothers. But the fact is, puny man creates things ONLY out of something, i.e., by making use of existing materials. And the rest is history.

The Genesis episode is entirely different. Yahweh Elohim needed only to speak to bring out things to exist. In the true sense of the word, creation means to cause things to exist out of nothing. That's what Elohim did - minus a laboratory and team of assistants - and did it all by Himself as the angels watched in awe, culminating in the creation of man.

Venter's work is nothing but an impertinent usurpation of Elohim's creative powers. It was not really a creation. The right term for Venter's man-made life is INVENTION. By no means, it's not a re-enactment of Genesis. Rather, it was a mere act of playing deity, or a futile attempt to prove Elohim doesn't exist. The fact that Yahweh did nothing to stop Venter's project, as was done in the case of the Tower of Babel, doesn't in any way disprove the existence of Elohim. Having allowed to happen what was a hitherto taboo and an unthinkable act is not our business to ask why, nor even question Yahweh's wisdom.

"Who is like unto thee, 0 Yahweh, among the mighty? Who is like thee, majestic in being set apart, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" (Exodus 15:11)

"And the scribe said unto him, 'Well, Teacher, thou hast said the truth: for there is one Elohim, and there is none other but He," Mark 12:32.

Registration Form Deadline

Feast of Tabernacles will be here soon and the registration forms need to be sent in no later than September 1st. We are happy to announce that we’ve seen positive responses thus far. It looks like we’ll be seeing some new people for the first time. We’ll also be seeing other like-minded/hearted brethren that we’ve not seen for awhile.

It’s an encouraging time to see everyone worship Yahweh together in the harmony of connected hearts and minds. Yahweh’s Spirit is certainly active these days and more and more are coming to see the truth of Yahweh’s Word which has been covered for so long. Don’t miss out on the revival of Yahweh’s movement in these times we’re in today. Now is the time to draw close to Him, through His righteous Son Yahshua. “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother,” Matt 12:50.

If you need  registration information, please click here or call toll free.

New Sacred Name Bible?

The New Jerusalem Bible and Rotherham's Emphasized Bible, with Yahweh’s Sacred Name restored, are still available for purchase in Book stores. In fact, many scholars in their Bible commentaries are now using Yahweh’s name, even restoring it back into the text, which we are happy to see.

There now seems to be a new Study Bible to be tentatively available in October of this year (advertized on the back of the Biblical Archeological Review magazine, May/June 2010 issue), which has Yahweh’s name proclaimed. It’s called the Holman Christian Standard Bible (aka HCSB Study Bible). While we are hopeful that this particular new release will have Yahweh’s Sacred Name restored back into the text, it remains to be seen. Their other versions seem to be without this being done, though they comment that Yahweh is His Name in the preface. We understand that there is still a heavy bias among Christianity to not use the Sacred Name, even while scholars do so in their writings.

We look forward to seeing in October whether they’ve done what they should do, by restoring Yahweh’s Sacred Name to the text where it belongs. Hopefully, they will do the same with Yahshua the Messiah’s name too, but that remains to be seen.

While the Sacred Name Movement does have a few Bibles with the Sacred Names restored, it is nice to see publishers who are at least advertizing what we already know to be true. The name is Yahweh.

Jerusalem’s Meaning

Jerusalem is comprised of two Hebrew words, yarah … yarah, and shalam … shalam. Yarah, wry, (yod, resh, waw). Anciently, these Hebrew letters picture yod, a ‘closed hand’, denoting ownership; resh, denoting ‘head’: leader, first or highest; and waw, denoting ‘nail’. Put together, we see, ‘my leader, nailed’. Now, it’s grammatical usage means “to flow as water”, or, to rain (remember this); and, figuratively, it means to teach. That’s Yarah, . Yarah Shalam. Shalam, mlv, is the root of shalom, mwlv, and grammatically means “founded peaceful”. Shalam, the “foundation of peace”. So, the Hebrew words for Jerusalem, Yarah Shalam, essentially means “Foundational Teaching of Peace”. Or, if you will, “The Foundational Teaching of Peace by my Master who was Nailed”. Yarah Shalam.

Economic History of U.S.A.

“Executive Order 6102 required U.S. citizens to deliver on or before May 1, 1933 all but a small amount of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates owned by them to the Federal Reserve, in exchange for $20.67 per troy ounce. Under the Trading With the Enemy Act of October 6, 1917, as amended on March 9, 1933, violation of the order was punishable by fine up to $10,000 ($166,640 if adjusted for inflation as of 2008) or up to ten years in prison, or both. Most citizens who owned large amounts of gold had it transferred to countries such as Switzerland.” —Wikipedia.org

We know history can often repeat itself and a closer look at Scripture indicates it, “They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh...”  (Ezekiel 7:19a).  It should be noted, the Day of Yahweh will engulf the whole world, not just the U.S.A., Isaiah 24:1-6.

Bible Verses to Consider

2 Chronicles 17:3-6 “…because he followed the example of his father David’s earlier days...did not seek the Baals...sought the Elohim of his father, followed His commandments…did not act as Israel did...removed the high places and the Asherim [poles] from Judah.” What made Jehoshaphat great (Great Jehoshaphat)? At least five things are mentioned here. See also 18:4, 20:3, and 26:5.

2 Chronicles 30:9b “...Yahweh your Elohim is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.” A promise to those who repent.

Job 31:27 “...my hand threw a kiss from my mouth.” A flirtatious practice we see even today.

Job 32:1b “...he was righteous in his own eyes.” Job's one fault.

Job 42:7b “...Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, ‘My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has.’” Yahweh may have not addressed Elihu because of his youthful age, Job 32:4, 6.

Psalm 73:27  “...You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You.” Since this is the case, how faithful should we be toward Him?

Psalm 108:9 “... Over Edom I shall throw My shoe...” In the Middle East it is still considered rude to show the sole of your shoe to another, let alone throw it at another, which happened to President George Bush while traveling there. See also 110:1.

Psalm 111:10 “...A good understanding have all those who do His commandments…” Very few follow Him and can say they know Him. The ones that do can see how many are on a broad way.

Psalm 129:8 “…The blessing of Yahweh be upon you; We bless you in the name of Yahweh.” No wrong in using Yahweh's name in a greeting and blessing to others.
