Should Yahweh’s People Celebrate Easter?
          
                 
      If you walk into any store during the Spring season, you will likely see rows and rows of candy (often egg-shaped), Easter baskets, and other holiday-related items.  But what do eggs and rabbits have to do with worshipping Yahweh?  Absolutely nothing!  Yahweh’s children know better than to celebrate pagan holidays.  We keep Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread instead.

His people out of Egypt, He commanded them to put lamb’s blood on the doorposts and lintel to mark their dwellings so that the death angel would “pass over” them and not kill their first born.  Many first born Egyptians died that night. 

      During the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we are not to eat anything that contains yeast or other leavening agents.  The Israelites had to leave Egypt in a hurry before their dough had a chance to rise!  Today we remove any food items from our houses

      When the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, Pharaoh began to worry that the Israelites were becoming too numerous.  He decided that all baby boys born to the Israelites were to be killed!  But Moses’ mother put him in a basket and hid him among the reeds.  Pharaoh’s daughter found him and raised him as her own son.  Yahweh later used Moses to lead His people out of the land of Egypt.
